NEW DEEPSLEEP ALBUM SO CLOSE YOU CAN ALMOST SMELL THE SHRINKWRAP!!
WORLD DOMINATION NEWS:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: January One, Two thousand and Nine, Common Era, Earth. Hebbo! Happy New year! We have big news ladies and gentlemen (and robots). Our album is moving quickly, quickly, quickly! We are very close. We have begun to consider names. It's well into the third trimester, and at the risk of tempting fate we are buying furniture for the nursery. This metaphor is now used, and done. Moving on... This weekend we are recording horns with the local trumpet guru, John Fricke (from Michael Shrieve's Spellbinder and several other kick-ass Seattle bands). Stay tuned for more news...things are developing quickly...more soon you beautiful so and so's. 12/16/2008 Well the year is almost over, quick like a bunny. We hoped to have our album done and in your hot little hands by now true believers.There is a currently a mad scientest with jacob's ladders behind and sparks and dramatic lightning. This album will find it's way onto your ipods and cd players soon, you beautiful and brilliant Deepsleep afficianados. What else, you ask? Well for starters the Deepsleep now have the clebrated keyboardist Brian Arthur in our religious cult- err, band. He brings a fullness and a whole new depth to our music. We continue to perform in Fremont regularly, most recently at Nectar. Nectar has an AMAZING sound system. Everyone do yourself a favor and have a cocktail and a listen there soon, hopefully on or next show there.(hint hint, Nectar) We are full of musical zeal dear Earth humans. We will occupy your brains with sweet music before this winter gives way to a renewed green spring. Count on it. Now, as Garrison says: be well, do good work, and keep in touch. Wensday, Agust the twenty-seventh, second millenium year eight. Back from a bit of time travel and we've lost our numbers. The Visigoths, it turns out, really knew how to hackey sack. Multible combinations with stalls and a bit of murder thrown in to make it interesting. But of course the time machine needed more "me time" and we all came back home to the present day Deepsleep Narcotics Co. Awaiting us in our inboxes was a jolly missive from our producer Michael with rough mixes of the songs for our new album. We are each making lists: an odd sound on Lost Cat at 1:43, that kick ass fill that the People's Jay does at the end of another song, that crazy guitar out of nowhere, thoughts on the levels, etc. We will make this thing great. We want you to send all positive vibrations, etc. towards Michael during the final mix down. We're excited. Can you tell? As soon as possible we'll post the new recordings. It'll be a hot minute though. Fret not, however. We are of one mind and we adhere to strict productivity best practices here at the Deepsleep. Recognize. Thanks to the Red Onion, and to Rob, who shared the stage with us. We learned what songs had the best response of our new material, and we'll use that knowledge like mad scientists and make song-Frankensteins. Thanks to all the people who came out and supported us. Good times. Speaking of good times, this Saturday we are playing at the Red Onion at Madison Beach here in Seattle. We're all about the music and the dancing. 9pm. Be there. We will punish all those absent with treatments as various and different as our audience. Some will receive pain about the arms vis a vis indian burns. Some will be awarded noogies. Happy new year etc., etc. We have new recordings.    I know, I know, I let the cat out of the bag all at once. The new recordings is the big news and I let it out right at the beginning. Now what's driving the story? Umm... How about the story of our recording? Come with me now on a journey...At the risk of using that same old Top Gun analogy, we'll say that the Iceman, Mavric, Goose, and Face from the A-Team of our songs were recently laid down at the Hive recdording studio.
